The Meaning Of Muslim prayer

In the presence of the Almighty, in the presence of the Almighty, to seek the blessings of His infinite bounty and grace and mercy is to intercede with perfection and humility, and to fulfill His right of worship. At first glance, every creature in the earthly and celestial universe seems to be engaged in Salat, Tasbeeh, and Tahmid in the presence of God in its own way.

The Almighty says:

“Do you not see that all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifies Allah, and the birds (also in the skies) are spread out? He knows his prayers and his glorification” (Al-Noor, 24:41).

Obligation & Importance Of Muslim Prayers

Muslim Prayer is one of the basic tenets of Islam. He is the most important member after believing in Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Its obligation is proved by the Qur’an and Sunnah and the consensus of the Ummah. This was assumed on the night of Ascension. According to the Qur’an, Sunnah, and consensus, there are five times to pay it.

  1. Ruling on prayer in the Qur’an al-Hakim

The importance of prayers in the Islamic system of worship can be gauged from the fact that prayers are mentioned in 92 places in the Qur’an. And in many places, the command to pray has been explicitly stated. Here are some verses:

  1. In Surah Al-Baqarah Allah says

And keep praying and paying the low rate, and bowing down to those who bow.. (Al-Baqarah, 2:43)

  1. In Surah Ta Ha, Allah says:

“”And build my prayers in commemoration.” (Taha, 20:14)

  1. Az-Zujal said about his most chosen Prophet, Ishmael (peace be upon him):

“And he used to order prayer and alms to his kin, and they were in a state of joy in the presence of their Lord (i.e. their Lord).(Mary, 19:55)

  1. Emphasis on prayer in the hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)

Among the five pillars of Islam, after the martyrdom of Tawheed and Prophethood, the duty to be performed with an emphasis in the Qur’an and Sunnah is prayer. The study of the following hadiths makes it clear what is the place of prayer in Islam?

  1. Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

The foundation of Islam on the fifth day.

“Islam is based on five things: adoring the Almighty and refusing to worship someone other than Him, praying, paying Zakat, performing Hajj in the House, and fasting in Ramadan.” (Muslim)

  1. It is narrated on the authority of Ibadah ibn Samit that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

The Almighty has prescribed five prayers, who performed the best ablutions for these prayers and performed them on time, bowed down to them completely, and acted humbly within them. He has made a covenant, and whoever does not do all this, Allah has no responsibility for him, whether He forgives him or punishes him. (Abu Dawood, Al-Sunan, Kitab al-Salawat, Bab fi al-Muhafizatah fi Waqt al-Salawat, 1: 175, No. 425).

  1. The importance of prayers is so great that the Holy Prophet (sws) at the time of his demise bequeathed to the ummah the most emphasis on prayers.but also the hadeeth narrated from Hazrat Ali Al-Murtada (ra). According to Sahih, the last words that came repeatedly to the blessed tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) were:

“Observe the obligatory prayers and fear Allah Almighty regarding your slave”.

(Abu Dawud, Al-Sunan, Kitab al-Adab, Bab fi Haq al-Mamluk, 4: 378, No. 5156)

The Benefit of the five daily Muslim Prayers

The five daily prayers is one of the most important duties for Muslims. The best form of Islamic worship is prayer. Numerous virtues and benefits of prayer have been mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith. The highlights are as follows:

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which deed is most dear to Allah Almighty.

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

The prayer for his time.

“Perform the prayer at its appointed time.”(Muslim, Sahih, Kitab al-Iman, 1:89, No. 85)

Values of Fajr, Zuhr and Asr prayers

HazratJundab bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Whoever prays the morning prayer is under Allah Almighty ‘s protection and whoever disrupts Allah Almighty ‘s duty, Allah Almighty will throw him upside down into Hell..”(Muslim, Sahih, Kitab al-Iman, 1:454, No. 657)

Hazrat Amara (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying:

The fire does not burn until a single prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting, which means dawn and dusk.(Muslim, Al-Sahih, Book of Mosques and the Position of Prayer).

“Whoever prays before dawn and sundown, that is, Fajr and Asr, will never go to Netherworld.”

Abu Bakr’s father narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever offers two cool prayers (Asr and Fajr) will go to Paradise.”

(Muslim, Al-Sahih, Book of Mosques and the Position of Prayer.

Hazrat Abu Basra Ghaffari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered the Asr prayer with us in a place and said:

“This prayer was offered to the nations before you but they It is wasted, so whoever protects it will get double the reward. ”(Muslim, Al-Sahih, Kitab Salat Al-MusafreenWaQasraha)

  1. The virtue of Maghrib and Isha prayers

Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

(Tabarani, Average Dictionary, 7: 230, No. 6445)

The best prayer in the sight of Allaah is the Maghrib prayer, and whoever prays two rak’ahs after that, Allaah will make for him a house in Paradise (in which) he will have morning and rest.

Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Abi Umrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Whoever prays Isha in the congregation, it is as if he has stayed up in the middle of the night.”(Muslim, Al-Sahih, Book of Mosques and Positions of Prayer, Chapter of the Blessed Prayer of Isha and Morning in Congregation, 1: 454, Number: 656)

Hazrat Abu Basra Ghaffari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered the Asr prayer with us in a place and said:

“This prayer was offered to the nations before you but It is wasted, so whoever protects it will get double the reward. ”(Muslim, Al-Sahih, Kitab Salat Al-MusafreenWaQasraha

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

Have you prayed with us? He replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has forgiven your sins (the charity of this prayer).”(Muslim, Sahih, Kitab al-Tawbah, Bab al-Qawwa al-A’la:

The Incident OfHazrat Sheikh ZulnoonMisri (May Allah have Mercy On Him)

Someone asked Hazrat Sheikh ZulnoonMisri (may Allah have mercy on him) to lead the prayers. For the takbeertahrimah, Akbar had just said that he fainted and fell down and remained in this state for a long time.  It was too late to confess his arrogance with his tongue that the Sheikh saw the sight of divine greatness and might. And Khurman lost consciousness.(Suhrawardy, Encyclopedia: 474)

It is a pity that our state of heart and faith has deteriorated to such an extent that our prayers do not revolutionize the state of life in terms of results.

Humility in Muslim prayer

Everything has an outward form and an inward reality, prayer also has an outward form and an inward reality. The name of this esoteric reality of prayer in the language of Qur’an and Sunnah is “humility and submission”.

  • The literal meaning of humility

The word khushoo means obedience, bowing down, and expressing humility. This condition is related to both the heart and the body. The humility of the heart is that the heart of the servant is overwhelmed with the majesty and majesty of the Lord of Glory and His majesty and glory and is engaged in giving thanks for the endless gifts and benevolence of his true benefactor as well as acknowledging humility and helplessness. the humility of the body is to bow one’s head while standing in this holy place, to lower one’s gaze, to lower one’s voice, to make the body tremble and tremble, and after applying all these signs of servitude to one’s body, Let me be a figure of literature and respect.

The Almighty says:

“Which makes the hairs of the bodies of those who fear their Lord stand on end.” (Al-Zumar, 39:23)

Khushoo ‘in prayers means that the heart is tormented with fear and passion for God. Which is nothing left but the remembrance of Allah, peace be upon the limbs and joints, the body towards the Ka’bah and the heart towards the Lord of the Ka’bah throughout the prayer. Pay attention

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Two rak’ahs of moderate style which are dominated by meditation are better than standing all night with a dark heart.“(Ghazali, Revival of Sciences, 1: 151)
